I installed it the other day (after seeing our member's calendar entry - http://www.dozleng.com/updates/calendar.ht...&eventid=17222) and it's doing what it claims thumbup.gif

Example: If you will go to this site of Macromedia to download the Macromedia Flash Player, you will noticed a bundled software installation which is Yahoo Toolbar.

The EULA is visible. Simply copy and paste the EULA to EULAlyzer and here's the result when you click Analyze button in EULAlyzer:

Attached Image

If you configured it to send to the research center, allow it. It's better to send to HELP the research center to improve the program's detection.

Note: If you will try to analyze a EULA that is located in a browser, the drag and drop will NOT work as per EULAlyzer.

The calculation of EULAlyzer on the said EULA of Yahoo Toolbar is FAIRLY LOW - healthy read.

Let's try a EULA of a program that is flagged as adware by some antispyware programs:

HOTBAR tongue.gif

The calculation of EULAlyzer on Hotbar's EULA is ELEVATED

I think EULAlyzer is one of a must have program which we can use before accepting a EULA. As we all know, EULA can be found in websites that has services (example: webmail service) and programs (free or not free)

EULA can help us decide whether to ACCEPT or DECLINE.

LOL that is EULAlyzer's EULA! w00t.gif

As you can see, its calculation says FAIRLY LOW but user's should not only depend on the calculation. READ the EULA. Understand what it says and if you don't disagree with it, accept it.

Maybe we should create a database of the results for common products?

I'm happy to see Donna enjoying this new package. JUMP.GIF

Has anyone else run the Terms of Use of the CoU forum through EULAlyzer? You'll be pleased to know that it's a healthy read, but then I'm sure you knew that anyway. Only to be expected after all, ain't it?

I know I got a error using it on a MS eula for Windows Media Player.
I said oh no what is MS doing now sleep.gif that it can not read the file.
But then I looked it over and seen it was not all in English.
Took out all but the English and the EULAlyzer worked just find.

So guess right now it is just for use English speaking or reading people.

But anyhow if you use this then look things over to see it it is all in English or not.

If you get Windows Media Player then just go to the C:\Program Files\Windows Media Player folder and get the eula.txt file and do a scan with EULAlyzer 1.0 and your see what I mean.

But do the same on the privacy.txt file in the C:\Program Files\Windows Media Player folder and your get more on it. ohmy.gif Unique Identifier ohmy.gif

For more information on these features and Microsoft's privacy policies, please click the "More Info..." button.

Must be the long version that they do not show you or down to your PC. unsure.gif

Wow Donna after reading more it is not just others doing a nice thing like javacool is doing but the bad guys coming out with the same type of software like EULAlyzer.

After seeing
EULA Dissection- What to Look For in a EULA
http://www.spywareguide.com/articles/eula_..._look_f_83.html

You would have to be crazy to install TinkoPal EULA. ohmy.gif ohmy.gif ohmy.gif

I can see it know and all the other scumware company's making software like this just like all the bad Anti-Spyware software they make. Thumbdown.GIF Thumbdown.GIF Thumbdown.GIF
